The growing number of different media channels is also increasing the demands on the technical foundations that make such work possible in the first place. In addition to the output of content in print and online, mobile and tablet are now also of great importance. And with smart televisions, the next important output channel is already in the starting blocks. Without suitable software that supports all these output channels and meets the highest demands, many media would be impossible to produce.

When selecting a suitable system for multichannel publishing or cross-media publishing, the use of synergies is one of the most important criteria. Existing content should be easy to find, quickly reused and published in a wide variety of channels. This is not just about the (one-sided) output of content, but also about bidirectional (import and export) options.

Multichannel publishing with InterRed is based on consistently media-neutral data management. It enables content to be created, edited and flexibly published in any media channel using a single tool - without losing sight of the technical, design and content-related characteristics of each medium.

In technical terms, different output sizes, formats and resolutions are supported, in terms of design the various display options and in terms of content the media-specific user behavior. Multichannel or cross-media publishing also means keeping the multimedia world under control, not only technically but also economically. This is because information, including media-specific information, is entered and managed jointly and centrally. The decision whether and in what order the channels are supplied is therefore no longer a question of workflow, but can be decided individually for each article. The technology takes over the conversion.

As a standardized tool that serves and manages all media, the integrated overall solution from InterRed can be used for all output channels as well as for individual output channels. The separate InterRed editions exist for this purpose. At the same time, InterRed customers are not tied to a specific "first" strategy, but can decide for each individual piece of content whether it should be used "digital first", "print first", "mobile first", etc.
