Structuring of information

InterRed structures content in "articles" and these in so called article types. These article types (=assets) define the type and extent of the data. The structure of the data input mask is also defined by the article type. The content is published via layout-templates, which determine the appearance. Also the further structuring is encoded in the templates. Thereby, a code segment does, for example, determine which content of one or several article types should be included in an automatically generated index.

The advantage of this approach is the resulting flexibility of the layout. All common output media can be addressed and no boundaries are set regarding the design.

A further advantage is the thereby achieved separation of structure, content and layout. Later changes of the structure, which do usually entail laborious tasks, can thus be undertaken with minimal effort.
